Warsaw now offers the fifth biggest bike sharing system in Europe – powered by nextbike

Since 2012 nextbike Polska on behalf of the City of Warsaw has successfully been providing the bike sharing scheme Veturilo. Due to high demand the city had put an expansion out for tender which nextbike won again. With the start in the new season Veturilo has now 4700 bikes, e-bikes and kids‘ bikes which are available at 300 rental stations. Currently Veturilo is the biggest international nextbike scheme. Service during winter time

We will continue our service during winter time in most metropolradruhr cities. At certain stations, we will switch off the terminals in order to protect the hardware, however rental is as usual possible using the app or by calling the hotline. Only in Oberhausen and Herne, there will be no bikes available starting 1st December 2015. We are currently planning to start the new season in March. New RadCard fare

Starting 1st March 2015, new conditions will apply to the RadCard fare: The basic fee will increase to 4€ per month. The first 30 minutes per ride will stay free of charge. After these first 30 minutes, you will be charged the normal fare of 1€ per 30 minutes and a maximum of 9€ for a 24-hour ride. The basic fee can only be paid on an annual basis. Winter is coming

According to recent weather predictions, Germany seems to be expecting another mild winter – which allows us to continue our service in many nextbike locations. Good news for all winter cycling enthusiasts amongst you. Only a few cities will be completely closed down. As seasonal demand is slowing down, we will reduce the number of bikes in certain locations. nextbike in Cologne

Starting next spring, nextbike’s customers will be able to cycle in Cologne. The system will start with 910 bikes. A further expansion is planned for the next years. You can find more information here.

Five new cities in 2014

We wish you a sunny new year of cycling und proudly present five new projects. In spring 2014 we will start in Karlsruhe, Innsbruck, Bath, Glasgow und Budapest. In total, this means around 5.000 new nextbikes on European streets. Besides this we will be expanding most of our existing projects. More information is to come in spring. NEXTBIKE JOINS THE ECF CYCLING INDUSTRY CLUB – THE EUROPEAN CYCLISTS’ FEDERATION.
